There are many colors of gold nominally in jewelry. Yellow gold is most common. There are two main types of 18 karat yellow gold. In the USA, 2N is the one used. It has 75% gold, 15% silver and 10% copper. In Europe, 3N is used with 75% gold, 13% silver and 12% copper. White gold has 75% gold, 16% palladium and 9% silver, so it is costlier than yellow gold. It has a white tone. like palladium, platinum, silver or steel. It takes an expert to distinguish white gold and these other metals listed. There are also rose (pink), red, green, grey and blue gold. They have different mixtures of metals in them.

i’ll tell u the difference! White gold is Platinum…they call it WHITE Gold cuz Platinum is as precious as Gold! you can measure White gold in carats also! and the color of Platinum is like shiny silver! now Gold is also very precious as all of us know! the purest form of gold is 24 carats! and the color of gold is yellow in color!

I don’t know. I’ve seen beautiful white gold pieces – and they’re expensive.
The really yellow gold that I’ve seen is most popular amongst the Chinese.
And then there’s red gold – and I’ve seen loads of that in Laos. It’s really red.
I know that the white gold pieces I’ve seen tend to be harder – whereas yellow and red gold pieces can be very soft.
I was once told that the color difference had something to do with the amount of copper in the gold – but I really don’t know.

I’m not sure how it’s made but it is just regular gold that looks like silver.

White gold is an alloy of gold and at least one white metal, such as silver or palladium. Like yellow gold, white gold is measured in Carats.

Gold is just gold, but depending on the purity of the gold the price varies.

The difference is the colour………as far as I know the value is the same……….White gold looks like silver but does not tarnish……Not sure how it’s made perhaps there is something on the web.

White golds look way brighter then silver but its semi the same color. Gold is yellow. White gold has more chemicals in it and Is more expensive. White gold is shinier then yellow gold too. Normal old is something worn more ofen. Whte god is rare and takes a longer time to be made.

There is no such thing as “white gold”. Gold (Au) is an element with its natural color of bright yellow or the distinct “gold” color.
What I know white gold is high quality silver, no Au component
