Is Gold Investment Good ?

I am planning to invest on Pure Gold Jewlary. Amount is $5,000/=. Do you think is a good investment OR Price will double up after 5 years. Need suggestion. Already bought house, Apratments, car, land ect.
Need idea to invest on Gold.
