Product Description
“Throughout the ages, many things have been used as currency: livestock, grains, spices, shells, beads, and now paper. But only two things have ever been money: gold and silver. When paper money becomes too abundant, and thus loses its value, man always turns back to precious metals. During these times there is always an enormous wealth transfer, and it is within your power to transfer that wealth away from you or toward you.” –Michael Maloney, precious metals … More >>

Any real financial reporting should contain full disclosure, should it not? However, this book contains NO financial disclosure of any kind. Quite possibly because beyond a lesson in macro-economics, contained in any freshman economics textbook, there is no real information to be gleaned here. This is another in a series of bad books from the Rich Dad library. That is not to say that there are not good books in the series, but be warned that the latest books are redundant with little or no new information. If you are looking to this series as a serious investor, stick with the earliest books, as they are quite good. This however is not one of them.

Look at the gold market, it climbs to dizzying heights fast and then it plunges even faster. You are left to wonder, “Who is doing this?!” Can it be extremely wealthy idiots? Then it all falls into place, the people placing the “bets’ are not playing with their own money, the rubes are being taken advantage of as they have been since time immemorial. Visualize an old Western town and a waggon rolling in with bright letters painted on both the canvas cover and side boards proclaiming the wonders of “Doctor” Mephistopheles and his magic elixir. The shyster starts his spiel offering the ’secret of the ages’ not for a dollar, not even fifty cents, but a mere two bits, yes one quarter will cure all that ails you.

The real money is not being made on the movement of silver and gold, it’s being made on the commissions paid to the descendants of the snake oil peddlers by the offspring of yesteryear’s rubes.

  4. As financial markets swing wildly investors often turn to tried-and-true investments as solid as gold and silver – despite the fact they too fluctuate. RICH DAD’S ADVISORS: GUIDE TO INVESTING IN GOLD AND SILVER provides a review of economic cycles that contribute to gold and silver’s importance as an investment vehicle, with chapters considering how and where to invest money in precious metals. An outstanding introduction for any novice to investing in precious metals.

This book is loaded with good information. There is nothing in this publication that can not be found on the internet by doing good research. It would be a good starting point for a novice investor looking for some basic information on the metals market. I recommend the book, but found it rather boring in its very basic concepts.
